Life's no picnic when you're a 150-year-old immortal gunslinger fighting demons and witches in the cursed town of Purgatory, but Tim Rozon seems to be having a great time. It's a fitting attitude for the actor, who plays the glib and gun-happy Doc Holliday on Syfy's Wynonna Earp.
We caught up with Rozon during WonderCon this past weekend and asked him about his experience working on the show and his feelings for their rabid fans. Needless to say, Rozon is just as big a fan of the legions of vocal Earpers as they are of him, and he took special care to discuss the show's role in crafting a beloved LGBTQ+ narrative over its first season.
Rozon also expressed his own love of comics (the series is based on the IDW comic of the same name), and his excitement over getting the chance to co-write an issue with creator Beau Smith.
Wynonna Earp follows the alcohol and expletive-laced exploits of the titular character and her team of friends, family and federal agents as they attempt to rid their small town of the 77 demons originally dispatched by her late-great-grandfather Wyatt Earp. It's great.
Check out the video below to hear from Doc himself, and tune when the show returns to raise hell on Syfy on June 9.
