It's been eight years since Thomas Jane blasted his way through The Punisher, but he's apparently not done with the character yet. During a San Diego Comic-Con appearance over the weekend, Jane surprised fans with a return to the character in a brutal, definitely NSFW fan film chronicling Frank Castle's quest to get a little laundry done.
Jane premiered the short, titled "Dirty Laundry," alongside his cohort comic book artist Tim Bradstreet, who's drawn more than 50 Punisher covers and worked on posters for Jane's 2004 turn as Frank Castle. The pair have partnered together to form RAW Studios, a film and comics production company, and they sprang the unofficial Punisher adventure on attendees during RAW's Comic-Con panel.
The film follows Frank as he enters a laundromat, kicks back while his clothes tumble, and then overhears a few thugs outside roughing up a young boy. You can probably guess what happens next. Oh, and as an added bonus, the short co-stars another movie superhero: Hellboy himself, Ron Perlman.
Check out "Dirty Laundry" below and see if it makes you want another Jane-starring Punisher flick. Marvel does own the film rights to the character once again, so they could make it happen.
