Weta Workshop's Giant Killer Robots board game funded in a flash

Weta Workshop are the wizards behind the pioneering special effects for Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies and countless other studio box-office gargantuans, like Batman v Superman, Godzilla and Zack Snyder's upcoming Justice League and Luc Besson's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

In their spare time, in-between conjuring up breathtaking magic for the movies, Weta apparently is into board games in a partnership with Cryptozoic Entertainment, developers and publishers of original and licensed board games, card games and trading cards.

Their latest endeavor is a crazy crowdfunded tabletop novelty called Giant Killer Robots that reached its full funding goals in less time than it takes you and I to shovel snow off our roofs. I can't wait to get my paws on this game and will gladly offer up my small contribution to further ensure this amazing mech amusement gets completed.
