He was the Iron Giant, he's presently Riddick, and he's going to be Groot. But that doesn't mean Diesel cares about EVERYTHING.
Vin Diesel seems like an affable guy. And you have to at least pretend to be when you're running the interview gauntlet for a major film release like Riddick, because you're going to get a lot of the same questions over and over again.
There's one question, though, that, whether he's heard it before or not, Diesel seems delighted to answer -- what do you think of Ben Affleck playing Batman? His answer?
I don't give a #$%! about Batman or who plays Batman.
But he's not mad about being asked. On the contrary, he seems positively tickled about weighing in, granted, in an unorthodox fashion. Watch the video for proof.
And, as you can see, Diesel is also quick to clarify by saying, "Let him live is my motto, let him live. Let Warner Bros. hire whoever they want, let Ben do whatever he wants. He got an Oscar, give him some credit. Leave him alone."
Like we said -- affable. And certainly not willing to trash Warner Bros. or Ben Affleck ... even if he might be wishing deep down that he was the one putting on the cape and cowl!
