Nick Fury may have been in charge of the Avengers at one point, but it's still Joss Whedon who's the real boss.
Empire magazine has unveiled a handful of new images from the production of The Avengers: Age of Ultron to go along with an article on the movie published in this month's issue. The most striking of those images shows writer/director Joss Whedon giving Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) a quick lesson in how to fire his bow.
We don't know anything about the scene, but I think it's safe to assume it involves a battle with Ultron and his Iron Legion army of killer androids. We've also heard for a while now that Hawkeye is going to play a bigger role in this movie than he did in the first one, so we're looking forward to seeing what Whedon has cooked up for Clint Barton.
You can read comments by Whedon and producer Kevin Feige from the accompanying article here -- in which they discuss choosing Ultron as the villain and deploying Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) Hulkbuster armor -- but in the meantime there are two more photos to peruse, one of science bros Stark and Dr. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and the other of the two new members of the team, Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
Hopefully we'll get to see more before The Avengers: Age of Ultron arrives on the distant date of May 1, 2015.
