James Gunn is a little busy leading the galactic corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) these days, but when he’s not, he knows which superhero he’d like to tackle next.
The Guardians of the Galaxy director has always been cool about chatting with fans online, and answered one query about whether Moon Knight might ever pop up in a future Guardians sequel. Gunn said he doesn’t really think the character would fit on that roster (and I'm inclined to agree) but revealed he does have a pitch for a Moon Knight movie that he’d love to make. So, yeah, once the Guardians train runs out (Gunn is wrapping up Vol. 2, and it stands to reason they'll aim for a trilogy), the director is already brainstorming his next Marvel project.

As Marvel Studios digs deeper into its catalog with future phases, it stands to reason we might eventually see a live action Moon Knight. The studio has been diversifying for years, and the bizarre story of a man with powers bestowed from an Egyptian god is ripe with potential. The latest run of the comic has been mind-blowing, weaving a surreal tale that makes it hard to know what’s real and what’s delusion. We’d love to see that story brought to life.
But, the real question is whether or not he’d fit on the big screen, or on something like his own Netflix TV series. What do you think? Which medium would best suit Moon Knight?
