The introduction of Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow was one of the coolest things about the half-baked Iron Man 2, and following her co-starring role in The Avengers, Johansson has opened up about the odds of a return appearance in the upcoming Iron Man 3. So, is our favorite spy coming back?
Apparently not, or at least she won't be showing up in Iron Man 3. Johansson told Screen Rant that she will not have a part in Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) next adventure, which fits with some recent buzz that the next Iron Man will be more of a character study on Stark, pulled away from the Avengers gang and left to figure out things on his own.
Though she won't be popping up in Iron Man 3, Johansson did have some thoughts on how a potential solo Black Widow film could work.
"I personally think there's an awesome Black Widow movie in there," she said. "Like, a kind of Bourne type of film that would take the comic book genre in a completely different direction."
Marvel, please make that movie, because it sounds pretty awesome.
