LEGO has recently announced a new set that will be perfect for fans of history, science and badass lady pioneers. The Women of NASA collection features four of the most innovative leaders in STEM, as well as some fun builds you can work on to display them in their areas of expertise.

According to LEGO, this 231-piece set includes minifigures of four female innovators who worked with NASA over the years: astronomer and educator Nancy Grace Roman, computer scientist and entrepreneur Margaret Hamilton, astronaut, physicist and entrepreneur Sally Ride and astronaut, physician and engineer Mae Jemison.

In addition to the figures, there are three builds that each represent different landmarks in the history of space exploration, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1969, where Hamilton programmed software that developed on-board flight systems for the Apollo space program, to the Hubble Space Telescope and the Space Shuttle Challenger with three removable rocket stages. The set also includes a booklet with information about the four women who are showcased within.

The Women of NASA LEGO set is intended for ages 10-and-up and it's available now via the LEGO site, so it would definitely make the perfect gift for your aspiring scientist or astronaut or engineer at home. You can check out the available builds and the minifigures of each featured woman of NASA in the gallery below.

Chalk this up under the kind of thing I wish I'd had when I was younger. Then again, there's really nothing stopping me from buying it now.
