The good news is that it sounds like the next X-Men movie won't be yet another Wolverine show. In case you hadn't noticed, quite a few of the Bryan Singer X-Men movies have a tendency to favor the hairy Canadian with the super healing above all those other mutants, even going so far as to put him at the center of this year's X-Men: Days of Future Past at the expense of Kitty Pryde, who played the lead role in the comics arc on which the movie was based.
That is, apparently, set to change with the next in the X-franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse. What will that film's focus be? Well, according to a source, Fox Entertainment has decided to cash in on the success of Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence by putting a romance between Magneto and Mystique "front and center" for Apocalypse. Who do you think is more bummed, Wolverine or Beast?
OK, so, this rumor is ... interesting. Fassbender and Lawrence are both very talented performers, but is that talent utilized best by having their characters' romance be at the center of a story we all assume is about this dude?
I mean, just look at Apocalypse. LOOK AT HIM. Does he seem like he mixes well with a love story?
What do you think?
