“Dead or alive you’re coming with me.” How old were you when Alex Murphy uttered those famous words? Today (July 17), marks the 30th anniversary of the Paul Verhoeven classic, RoboCop.  Despite several sequels and an underwhelming remake, the original still stands the test of time.

In celebration of its initial debut, the Alamo Drafthouse is bringing RoboCop back to theaters. The special one-night event will include an appearance by Murphy himself, Peter Weller. Following the screening, the actor will participate in a Q&A where fans can learn even more about the cult film.

“The RoboCop event will be live-streamed to theaters around the country from Dallas City Hall, where the production filmed its OCP Headquarters scenes. The Dallas event will feature food trucks, a full bar with RoboCop-themed cocktails and plenty of photo ops.”

The RoboCop anniversary screening takes place Sept. 10, with tickets going on sale Aug. 1. The celebration is presented by Birth.Movies.Death, SYFY and Alamo Drafthouse. You can find out more information here.
