Your next game for game night: Stephen King bingo, a.k.a. Kingo

Contributed by

Bingo is a simple game played at children’s parties and baby showers. Stephen King is the author of some of the world’s most popular horror stories. And when you add the two together, you get … Kingo?

The insane geniuses at Pink Smoke created a game that is “just like regular BINGO. When you watch a Stephen King film adaptation, TV movie or mini-series, just check-off that trope as it appears.”

The tropes, as anyone who reads King or watches films based on his work knows, include haunted houses and misfit teens, as well as awkward sex and evil pets.

Pink Smoke created the card as part of a “Kevin Geeks Out” event in New York City (specifically, the Nitehawk Cinema in Williamsburg, Brooklyn). But you can play this at home either with the card (designed by Tenebrous Kate) or create your own filled with the tropes on the card—plus the tropes that couldn’t fit. There are tropes aplenty.

It’s the most fun you can have while screaming “Augh! Corn!”
