This is gonna be the best movie about someone's girlfriend coming back from the dead to feast on the flesh of the living since Return of the Living Dead III!
There's been a glut of zombie movies ever since ... well, it's been a while. So, if you want to make your shambling undead film stand out from the pack, you need a hook. Life After Beth's hook is that the zombie is Aubrey Plaza.
So, if you're a fan of zombies and Park and Recreation, you will probably think, "Hey, thumbs up. I will totally go see (and likely enjoy) this movie."
But that's not everybody. Maybe you only like one of those things. So, for those of you unsold because you only like sullen people who make weird monster faces, or if you only like zombies (har har har), this trailer will help you make up your mind:
This seems like a real stretch for Plaza, who has never played a zombie (who isn't attracted to guys soullessly playing the acoustic guitar like they're in the Decemberists) before.
And if that bold acting choice isn't enough, there's a really solid cast involved -- Molly Shannon, John C. Reilly, Anna Kendrick ... heck, even Dane DeHaan gets to make up for Amazing Spider-Man 2!
Life After Beth hits theaters on Aug. 15. Bonus: If you have DirecTV, you can On Demand the movie on July 17.
