NBA LIVE
Jamal
Tip 1: Get the ball to your power player and keep the ball out of your opponent's power player's hands.
Tip 2: Use picks and passes to get players open. When necessary, use double teams to defend.
Mark:
Tip 1: Take the easiest shot possible: Pass the ball around! But avoid passing through high-traffic areas and across the court. Passing the ball combined with a couple of fake pull-ups (tap B instead of holding for the shot), can give you a few driving opportunities, then if they don't work out, pass the ball to an outside man for the 3-point shot. Just mix it up and be patient, you will find a hole if you play smart!
Tip 2: You don't have to sprint the whole time: This is actually counter-productive and you will find yourself driving straight into guys and getting locked-up all the time. Maneuver a little around your defender without turbo until you break around his coverage zone then break out with a sprint to the baseline or go straight to the hoop if a lane is open.
HALO 3
Ciji:
Tip 1: Playing ranked matches online helps you increase your skills by learning tricks like jumping into trees and sniping. You'll also get better at figuring out the geometry of grenade blasts and climbing on ledges you never thought you could stand on.
Tip 2: If you think you're close to dying and are under attack then turn around, look down at the ground and run away as fast as possible to heal. By keeping your head down you're making the target area much smaller for someone to hit you and it takes approximately 5-7 shots in your back to kill you.
Mark:
Tip 1: Keeping everybody on the same page is going to give your team longevity and success soon enough. Communication is the KEY to success in any team game. Teams should never stop talking - EVER. They should call where they are going, who they see, the weapons they have picked up, to rush somewhere etc.
WCG National Halo 3 Champions
Tip 1: If you have an up close weapon like the shotgun, sword, brute hammer, or mauler, make sure not to show it until you get close to the enemy.
Dance Dance Revolution
Ciji:
Tip 1: Enhance your skills by playing in Practice Mode. Concentrate on the section you're having a problem with first, and once you've mastered that section, go back and play the whole song again in Game Mode.
Jamal:
Tip 1: Practice makes perfect.
Tip 2: You will be rewarded for perfect timing and long combos. To perfectly time your steps, stay in tune with the rhythm.
Project Gotham Racing 4
Ciji:
Tip 1: The best thing you can do is play online ranked matches. By going online, you'll get to compete with and against the top players from all around the world. Playing with these guys will help you learn the lines of the tracks and little tricks like wall bumping that will help you increase your time by a few seconds.
Tip 2: Practicing with cars that have low grip and high drift on wet, snowy or winding tracks are the best. Once you master these cars in these conditions, driving any other car on a dry track will seem like a piece of cake!
Mark:
Tip 1: All I can say is that after you brake, coast, coast, coast! Tapping the brake until you reach a desired "coast speed" to round the corner, prevents you from making many mistakes. Just find a good speed that will allow you to take the corner at the angle you have achieved. Happy racing!
Brian Boyle (WCG National PGR4 Champion):
Tip 1: When beginning a race, the first technique I use can be referred to as "shift-glitching." To do this you use the e-brake when you shift up to give the car a little boost. For my controller set, "upping it" is achieved by hitting the A and B button at the same time to shift up and go a little faster on each shift.
Virtua Fighter 5
Adnan Rana (WCG National Virtua Fighter 5 Champion):
Tip 1: Don't fight blindly! Even though you may have a favorite, familiarize yourself with all the characters. Go to the dojo mode and go through the various characters' move lists. This will help you fight against them.
Tip 2: Know your enemy! Observe, observe, observe! For example, have you noticed how the opponent usually begins every round? How does he generally react once your move hits him, or when you defend his move?
Jamal:
Tip 1: Fight Smart. Learn combos/moves that have a low percentage of retaliation damage, even if blocked.
Rock Band 2
Ciji:
Tip 1: Practice. If you can keep a beat you can play Rock Band 2, but if you want to move up, you'll have to practice songs over and over again for muscle memorization.
Tip 2: Try a new hand position. Since Hard/Expert includes ORANGE, shift your hand so your index finger is on RED and pinky is on ORANGE. This makes it easier to hit ORANGES and still easy to extend your index finger for GREEN notes.
