The Expanse & The Magicians Score Saturn Award Noms
As do Childhood's End, Continuum, Haven, Dark Matter and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!
The nominees for the 42nd Annual Saturn Awards have been announced, and among them are several Syfy series and players, Captain Kirk himself and at least one Sharknado.
For the record, the Saturn Awards is the official award presentation voted by the members of the The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films, a non-profit organization founded in 1972. The Saturn Awards is considered the premier organization in honoring and recognizing multi-genre entertainment.
So, yeah, it's kind of a big deal, especially when you consider the headliner nominees for 2016 are the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Mad Max: Fury Road and Crimson Peak.
Syfy scored a total of ten nominations, with Saturn love given to The Expanse, The Magicians, Childhood's End, Continuum, Haven, Dark Matter and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! The list of Syfy noms is below, and you can see the complete list of nominees at the Saturn Awards Official Site.
