Bobby Moynihan Joins the Cast of Syfy's "Happy!"
Come on and get happy (sorry, we had to) with this Saturday Night Live castmember.
Team. File this under: IMPORTANT!
Everybody's favorite Drunk Uncle and SNL castmember, Bobby Moynihan, will voice the title character, Happy, in our upcoming pilot, Happy! The character, Happy, is a goofy blue unicorn with a relentlessly cheerful personality who plays opposite Christopher Meloni, who's character is not so happy.
We're not saying that this will be **the** most dynamic duo since Batman and Robin or Captain America and Falocn or Ben and Jerry— but we are saying that this is kind of a big deal.
Based on the New York Times best-selling graphic novel written by Grant Morrison (Batman, The Invisibles), Happy! centers on Nick Sax an intoxicated, corrupt ex-cop turned hit man — who is adrift in a world of casual murder, soulless sex and betrayal. Once a rock-star detective for a major metropolitan police force, Nick lost it all. Now he's a broken, down-and-out hired killer who makes just enough money to support a steady diet of booze, drugs and sarcasm by carrying out hits for the mob. After a hit gone wrong, Nick's life is forever changed by a tiny, relentlessly positive, imaginary blue-winged horse.
Additional cast members includes: Lili Mirojnick (Friends With Benefits), Patrick Fischler (Mad Men), Ritchie Coster (The Dark Knight) and Zabryna Guevara (The Get Down).
