"The Machine" is Being Adapted As New Syfy Series

The cult hit artificial intelligence film The Machine is being adapted by Syfy.

The Machine is a 2013 movie that follows the story of a brilliant (aren't they ever?) computer programmer who is desperate to save his terminally ill daughter and creates the first-ever piece of self-aware artificial intelligence. Of course, things go south (aka horribly wrong) when the government hijacks the AI originally designed to help injured soldiers and uses it to create the ultimate cyborg killing machine.

The British film, starring Toby Stephens and Caity Lotz, became an instant (and maybe prescient?) classic. Syfy is developing the film into a full blown series. Get the details - including who's behind the adaptation - at our sister site, Blastr.com.
