Fiona Shaw

Fiona Shaw's acting career has spanned more than three decades and she is best known for her role as Aunt Petunia Dursley in the Harry Potter films and Marnie Stonebrook in True Blood. Fiona has worked with many international directors in film and on stage and has received nominations from The Chlotrudis Awards and Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards. Fiona also received the Silver Ribbon of the Year from the Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists for her performance in We Believed and she was awarded 2nd place from the National Society of Film Critics for her performance in The Triumph of Love.

Fiona has also had a successful stage career as an actor and director, bringing award-winning performances to the West End (Olivier Award winner and four-time nominee) and Broadway (Tony Award nominee). She also directed the opera, The Rape of Lucretia.

Fiona is originally from County Cork, Ireland, and attended University College Cork, and was later trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In 2001, Fiona was appointed as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for her services to Drama.
