In an early draft of the episode, Two shoots Alexander Rook dead in their final lab confrontation. Another version had Rook escaping to the space elevator and seemingly making good his escape, only to have Two drop a piece of heavy machinery down the shaft, crushing him in the lobby. Yet another version had Rook punished at episode's end with being implanted with one of the 'entities.' Ultimately, Alexander Rook is still at large!

Did you know there were originally three different ways in which Alexander Rook (Wil Wheaton with a beard) was going to be killed off in this week's episode? The final script had him getting away scot free, though, the devil.

Also, what does the Dark Matter Whiskey Club (yes, apparently it exists) have to do with the two scientists who, uh, volunteer their retinal scans?
