Our Top Defiance Moments: Season 3, Episode 8

Monday, August 3, 2015 - 7:00am

Stahma feels the love, Doc Yewll gets cloned and Kindzi gets grounded for life; Season Three, Episode 8: "Obstinato in White" brought the goods.

  1. Is This Love?

The ever-evolving relationship between Stahma and T'evgin has been one of the most enjoyable and moving subplots of Season Three. They started out as sex buddies and, oddly enough, became something much more after Stahma tried to kill him. T'evgin has revealed himself to be an honorable and compassionate man; his attendance of the memorial on Stahma's behalf was rather touching, as was his delicate reporting of the pardon she's been granted for Datak's "sacrifice."
  2. Mini-Stahma

Stahma's second most trusted confidante upon the aftermath of her traitorous actions against Defiance is quickly becoming her handmaiden, Andina. The hair-brushing scene was quiet, intimate and lovely; there's (apparently) a genuine friendship developing between these two, though, like Stahma, Andina seems to be working her own angle in the pursuit of sweet, sweet power.
  3. Savor the Moment

    Savor the Moment

Kindzi coming on to Nolan was probably inevitable; he treated her with kindness and compassion after Amanda shot her full of holes in the Season Three premiere and has been (relatively) congenial toward her ever since. However, we most definitely fear for our hero now that he's been marked by this cray-cray alien hottie.
  4. Lotsa Yewlls

It was bad enough that Kindzi used Doc Yewll's source print to create a gaggle of Yewlls to satisfy her hunting instincts, but for the Doc to discover all of ... well, her body parts hanging from the ceiling ... ick. This gruesome violation and dark, dark science takes body horror to a whole new level.
  5. Dirty Birdy

    Dirty Birdy

Kindzi's antics reached the point where Dad just couldn't take it anymore, and now she's been sent to her stasis pod without any supper. We're sure we haven't seen the last of our Lady Omec, though ... you can't keep a beast like that caged.

See you next week for Season Three, Episode 9 ...
