Welcome to the final edition of Our Top Looks (for Season 8, anyway), where we give OUR take on who really delivered the week's best makeup work on Face Off. The judges are the experts, but sometimes we viewers got opinions too!

This season's finale had the finalists (assisted by all the previously eliminated artists) creating four (FOUR!) characters that could star in their own genre-specific movie franchise: Sci-Fi (Logan), Fantasy (Darla) and Post-Apocalyptic (Emily).

For the record, there weren't any official Top Looks for this episode, so we're really shaking things up this week! See below.

Season 8, Episode 14: "The Dream Team"

Our Top Looks:

  1. Emily (Shard)
Emily's post-apocalyptic epic, Paradise Reckoning, offered a dark, mystical twist on The Wizard of Oz with four mutant characters. We absolutely loved Shard, a car crash victim who merged with the windshield he collided with. Awesome concept, awesome work!

  2. Darla (Wind)
Darla's fantasy fable, The Spirits of Eden, featured four characters inspired by the four elements: earth, wind, water and fire. They were all incredible, but the most astonishing was Wind, a female satyr who herself was part wind instrument. The chest piece and horns really sold this whimsical (wind-sical?) creation.

  3. Logan (Armadillo)
Logan's sci-fi adventure, The Fortress, could best be described as Guardians of the Galaxy remixed via The Island of Dr. Moreau, as four evolved lab animals travel the universe defending their kind against exploitation. Our favorite was the Armadillo character, because … well, he's an armadillo with a rocket launcher on his back. Come on.

Congrats to Darla, the Face Off Season 8 Champion, and all this season's amazing artists and coaches. See you in July for Season 9!
