The Gauntlet returns with a series of three grueling Foundation Challenges.

By Bryan Enk

The Gauntlet. Some love it, some hate it, most fear it. One thing that's pretty unanimous, though: It's never boring.

How to Watch

Catch up on Face Off on Peacock or the SYFY App.

Stage 1 had the artists creating pirate captains (with hearty pirate beards) based on pirate ships, with Melissa and Walter taking Top Looks; Stage 2 had the artists embracing the chaos of Pandora's Box and using face prosthetics in non-traditional ways, with Rob and Robert nabbing the wins. From there, Kaleb, Mel, Yvonne and Anna were plunged into Stage 3, which had them creating a trio of characters inspired by the old adage, 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil.'

Whew! Let's see how that final round turned out ...

Our Top Looks:

  1. Mel

We're totally agree with Glenn's observation that Mel's creations are "so Hellraiser." Really, if Pinhead is looking for some new Cenobites to join his demonic pleasure n' pain crew, look no further, dude.

Here's the 'See No Evil' character. Wonderfully gross.

Here's 'Hear No Evil.' Poor guy, he'll never again hear Motorhead's take on "Hellraiser" that played over the closing credits of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth (1992).

And 'Speak No Evil.' There are no words.

Here they are with their proud (and genuinely surprised) mama.

  2. Anna

Anna was actually a Bottom Look for the judges, but we kinda dig these guys. There's definitely something endearingly Weta Workshop about them.

Here's the centerpiece, 'Speak No Evil.' Yeah, no more talking for that guy.

Here's 'See No Evil.' Her left eye must've been the one that saw evil, and her right eye sees only good. That's adorable.

And here's 'Hear No Evil.' It looks like he has a case of 'Smell No Evil,' too.

Here they are with Anna. Go Anna!
