Meanwhile Wade is still making himself comfortable in Haven much to Duke's chagrin. Jennifer is still cute and still not able to make contact with Audrey (who's now Lexi, though no one knows that) and the barn.
Vince explains that The Guard doesn't want another Crocker in town and he can make no promise that he'll be able to protect Wade from their fury. The group worries that Wade is also Troubled and no one wants two guys running around town all silver-eyed and reckless. Nope.
On a lighter note, Dave takes some one on one time to talk to Jennifer about Haven, the Troubles and Audrey. Like a protective uncle, he assures her that he believes in her ability to find Audrey. After seeing a photo of Audrey, Jennifer comments that "she's so pretty". Seems like everybody in town thinks that Audrey is pretty, except for Jordan.
Don: Dude has really, REALLY good intentions being a volunteer fire fighter and all. But when he loses his partner in the line of duty, Don's guilty conscience gets the best of him and his Trouble is triggered. Turns out that every time someone thanks him for his dedicated service and bravery, Don unwittingly immolates them. Sheesh. Just wave at him next time, guys. Ok?
Nathan, Dwight locate Don right before he was slated to receive a congratulatory medal of honor on behalf of the grateful town. A crowd of thankful people and one self loathing Don spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Luckily Nathan is able to talk some sense into Don before the town, and this little lad in the red, are toast. Literally.
With the case of the day solved, one problem still remains--Wade doesn't have plans to go home anytime soon. Upon learning that his wife has been cheating on him Duke, in an act of sympathy, encourages Wade to stay Haven as long as he needs. But there's still the little matter of keeping him out of reach from the blood thirsty Guard.
