You guys, the dream sequences are back! And in this one, Roberta and Vasquez kill a bunch of zombies and then they totally make out until Roberta realizes that Vasquez is a zombie and wakes up in a Winnebago. Sheesh.

You know what other amazing Z Nation thing is back? Citizen Z! He's still fighting zombies at the Northern Lights listening station. And he's got a warning for the team ...

... the Zunami, a miles-long horde of zombies making its way across the desert and destroying everything in its path. Citizen Z tells the team to seek higher ground, pronto.

Once again, the team decides to split up (sometimes that goes well .. sometimes it doesn't). Roberta, Vasquez, Murphy and Addy all ride off on ATVs and find the Northern Quest Casino Resort, a place that isn't taking in any outsiders, while Doc and 10K look to get to higher ground on their own.

It doesn't go well for Doc and 10K, as they're soon ambushed by a mysterious man on a horse who turns out to be the militant son of Chief Dan Firecloud, who runs the Casino and doesn't believe the zombie horde presents as big a danger as everyone seems to think.

10K and Doc are taken to camp and tended to by the Chief's daughter. The tribe is extremely wary of 'Zendigo,' a "disease of the soul" for which the tribe blames the white man.

Doc heads off with the Medicine Woman, who gives him a good deal of peyote. But shortly thereafter, he and 10K are ejected from the camp and get caught in nets.

Y'see, the tribe wants someone to be the early warning system for the invading horde of zombie, and they leave 10K and Doc to be that system. But when a Z wanders into the area ...

… Doc uses astral projection (via that wild peyote, we assume) to kill it. Doc is pretty great, right?

The Chief's daughter rescues 10K and Doc and brings them back to the casino. Team reunited! And when the Chief sees the impending zombie horde, he sends the tribe to the 'Sacred Cliffs' but decides to go down with the casino himself.

Meanwhile, Citizen Z learns how to work a missile launcher via radio contact with Roberta. He blows a Z to kingdom come. It's very impressive.

When the zombie horde finally arrives at the casino, it's so strong that it brings down the entire building. The Chief's daughter leads everyone away to the Sacred Cliffs.

But nowhere is safe! The Blasters (remember them?) have figured out how to get up the cliff and are attacking the tribe! Luckily, Doc, still hallucinating from his vision quest, gets an idea from the drawings of the tribe's ancestors ...

... which basically involves just running buffalo off a cliff, where they would fall to their deaths. The team directs the zombies away via a wall of fire and watches them tumble into the Grand Canyon.

Murphy has a very hard time with his own "tribe" falling to their deaths and has to be restrained by Roberta and Vasquez.

Roberta tells Murphy that the time is coming when he has to decide which side of the humans vs. zombies battle he's on ... and, while he's deciding, he should remember which side is trying to keep him alive and which side is trying to eat his brain.
