Warning: If you don't want to know what happened in this episode, don't read this photo recap!
Dutch and Khlyen have a tense meeting over tea. Dutch's pitch to her old mentor: "I won't kill for you, you don't go near my team, and when I've done what you've asked, you will tell me what you're doing back in the Quad." Khlyen's reply: "If I could let you go that easily, I would."
The Killjoy family assembles for a "black warrant," essentially a competitive warrant, where all the Killjoys race to lay hands first. Fancy Lee is here, the first time we've seen him since he tried to cash in Dav's kill warrant in the first episode.
Dutch gets a call from Khlyen; he wants her to steal something from the ship Big Joe stole. And he implants a neuro-link into her neck, so they're now connected. A super-cool 3-D map shows Dutch where Big Joe is with the ship. She needs to find the device on the stolen ship and bring it back to him, which means working against her own team.
The boys gets started without Dutch. But they have to deal with Fancy Lee, who has snuck onto Lucy. He tells the boys that Dutch went off-world solo. He wants the boys to take him with them, and he'll help them find the ship. Johnny thinks Dutch is in trouble, so he agrees.
Dutch finds Big Joe's ship on Leith, but only the case for whatever device she's looking for and not the device itself. Suddenly, she gets shot by an unknown sniper, but she's able to heal herself with yet another of this episode's handy tools.
Dutch finds Big Joe, and instead of a fight, it's a happy reunion! He doesn't want her caught up in what he's doing. And he's got some stuff to say about his retirement: "The RAC uses us up and then tosses us aside."
Unfortunately for Dutch and Joe, they get captured by a band of "True Liethians," who think the Company and the RAC are coming to take their land and give it to Westerlyns. Held captive at the Kotler Family Compound, Joe tells Dutch he's been trying to thumb his nose at the company by stealing from their most impenetrable targets.
The Jacobis boys (plus Fancy) try to get into the barn where Dutch is being held. The Leithians, who think the RAC is here to pave the way for relocated 7th Gen Westerlyns, are preparing for a major siege.
Back in Old Town, RAC boss Turin and Company guy Hills barter over the fate of Joe. The Company gets its way, and Joe's warrant gets upgraded to Level 5 (a kill order), right in the middle of a room full of Killjoys. Joe asks Dutch to make it quick. She can't, but Fancy obliges. "The warrant is all."
Khlyen comes for Dutch, asking where the weapon is. She stabs him repeatedly in the gut and he just shakes it off. What is UP with him? He came back to the Quad for her, and he's not leaving without her.
