Bryan O’Bryne

A seasoned veteran who has been the chief engineer aboard the Nightflyer for 22 years. He is clearly loyal to Eris -- and ready to carry out his every command, including the possibility of murder.

About Bryan O’Bryne

O’Byrne is an Irish actor, well known for his impressive work both on screen and on stage.
 
Most recently, O’Byrne played Frank McAlpine on the TV miniseries “Manhunt: Unibomber.”  He also starred as Ken Karn in the series “Aquarius” and as Allan Pinkerton in "Mercy Street." In 2017, he co-starred on the acclaimed miniseries "Little Boy Blue" opposite Stephen Graham, for which he recently won a 2018 BAFTA for Supporting Actor. O’Byrne starred opposite Kate Winslet in an Emmy®-nominated role on “Mildred Pierce.” His other television credits include “Saints & Strangers,” “Prime Suspect,” “FlashForward,” “Brotherhood” and the acclaimed Irish series “Love/Hate.”
 
O’Byrne’s film credits include the critically acclaimed film “Million Dollar Baby,” “Medeas,” “Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead,” “Brooklyn’s Finest” and “The International.” He also starred in “Jimmy’s Hall” and “Queen and Country,” both of which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
 
He was last seen on Broadway starring in “Outside Mullingar” at Manhattan Theater Club.  His other theater credits include “If There Is I Haven’t Found It Yet,” “The Coast of Utopia,” “Doubt,” “Shining City,” “Lonesome West,” “The Beauty Queen of Leenane,” “Bedbound,” his work with the inspiring “Theater of War” and “Frozen” for which he won a Tony Award. He has five Tony nominations, five Drama Desk nominations and has been awarded Obie, Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle awards, among others.
 
O’Byrne was trained at the Samuel Beckett Centre at Trinity College Dublin and raised in Mullagh, County Cavan.
