Immortals is an upcoming movie about the gods of Greece and their war with humanity. If you think the pictures we have for you, below, seem familiar, you're not wrong. At first glance, they look like photos taken from an alternate set of 300.

Immortals (to be released on Nov. 11, 2011) and 300 (made in 2006) share the same desaturated colors, and both emphasize warriors with carved bodies fighting it out with swords and spears. Unsurprisingly, they also share two of the same producers, Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari.

But amusingly, while Immortals is about the Greek gods, the historical "Immortals" were actually a 10,000-strong band of Persian warriors—ones who participated in the Battle of Thermopylae.

You know...the battle that 300 was based on.

In other words, Immortals would have been the perfect name for 300, had the Persians been the heroes of the film.
