Ever since we heard The X-Files could be getting a new lease on life in the form of a limited series at Fox, it got us thinking about some other 1990s sci-fi shows that could also go for a revival.

For those who remember the decade, the 1990s were an epic time for genre television. Legendary shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel debuted, and though we’d obviously like to see more from those storied franchises, we decided to dig a bit deeper for series that might not be quite as well known. Plus, c’mon, there’s already an absolute glut of Buffy and Angel ripoffs on television. Unless Joss Whedon walks away from a truck of money at Marvel to take the helm, a revival would almost certainly pale in comparison to the original.

Also of note, one show that didn’t make the cut: I really wanted to include Fox’s all-too-short-lived Freakylinks, but it actually premiered in 2000, not 1999 as my addled memory had thought, so no dice. But if you can actually find this show anywhere, check it out. It's a ton of fun.

Here are the shows we’d like to see get a revival. Let us know which '90s shows you want to see come back to life!
