12 things we noticed while watching Hocus Pocus

A trio of witch sisters, teenage romances, and a whole lot of virgin jokes: That's Hocus Pocus in a nutshell, more or less.

Twenty-four years after its release date, the comedy horror flick has found a new popularity (and basically achieved cult status) thanks to frequent re-airings on the Disney Channel and the Freeform-formerly-known-as-ABC-Family network. Of course, rewatching Hocus Pocus as an adult becomes an entirely different experience than it was when we parked our butts in front of the TV as kids, and we definitely pick up on some details that may have gone over our heads all those years ago.

For one, there are a ton of sexual innuendoes that get tossed out with little to no acknowledgment. Granted, this was the '90s, but some of that humor isn't exactly family-friendly. (And don't even get us started on all the times the movie can't quite resist pointing out Max's status as a virgin. Honestly, we'd wish for Hocus Pocus 2 that gives that kid a chance to get laid once and for all.)

Check out the video below that delves into all the silly, spooky, and downright savage aspects of one of our favorite Halloween movies:
