The second day schedule for Comic-Con 2012, set for July 12-15, has been released. Events will definitely be ramping up on Friday, July 13. So what are some of the coolest things to do?

We already showed you some of the neat things kicking off the San Diego fest on Day 1, but Day 2 looks to be even more loaded with goodies. From Firefly to Superman, there are a ton of cool panels on the way.

Here are some of the highlights from Day 2:

How to make a DC comic

DC will host a panel with everyone from editors to artists, to show how an idea goes from conception to a finished product. DC staffers Mike Marts, Brian Cunningham, Brian Buccellato and Francis Manapul are all scheduled to attend.

Hang out with the cast of Community

It may have gone through some showrunner shake-ups, but NBC's Community is still one of the coolest, most sci-fi-tinged shows on TV. The cast will be out in full force at Comic-Con, hosting a Q&A with fans.

Meet Zak Penn

Apart from being the man who wrote the original draft of The Avengers, Zak Penn has had his fingers in tons of comic-to-film properties—not to mention his hit Syfy series Alphas.

See what's next for Superman

DC will host a Superman panel to discuss what's coming next for the Son of Krypton, with writers Matt Idelson, Shane Davis, Scott Lodbell and Bryan Q. Miller.

See the epic, 10-year reunion of Joss Whedon's Firefly

It may have only lasted a few months, but Joss Whedon's sci-fi cowboy series Firefly has inspired fans for a lifetime. Ten years later, the gang is getting back together for an epic reunion. Hang out with Serenity's crew: Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk, Morena Baccarin, Sean Maher and Summer Glau.

Hang with The Walking Dead cast, including Michonne and the Governor!

Walking Dead stars Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Norman Reedus, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan will all be on hand for the show's panel. Plus, we get to meet Danai Gurira as Michonne and David Morrissey as the Governor. Robert Kirkman and his fellow showrunners will all be there to talk about season three.

Enter the grid with Tron: Uprising

It's nice to see Tron keeping a presence at Comic-Con, and the exciting new Disney XD animated series will have a panel showing off stars Elijah Wood, Bruce Boxleitner, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Tricia Helfer; along with producers Charlie Bean, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

Meet George R.R. Martin and the cast of Game of Thrones

The cast and crew of arguably the biggest fantasy series on TV will be out, including author George R.R. Martin. Stars Alfie, Emilia Clarke, Michelle, Kit Harington, Lena Headey and Richard Madden will also be in attendance.

See the Arrow pilot, meet the cast

If you miss the kickoff screening of The CW's Arrow, it'll also be shown on Day 2, followed by a Q&A with cast members Stephen Amell and Katie Cassidy. Producers Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter will also be there.

Hang with the cast of Resident Evil: Retribution + see a new preview

Stars Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Oded Fehr, Boris Kodjoe and Mika Nakashima will all be on hand with director Paul W.S. Anderson to build some buzz for the latest zombie fighting epic.

See new footage, meet the cast of Falling Skies

The cast and crew of TNT's hit alien fighting drama will be out in full force, and they're bringing some never-before-seen footage with them.

See some Total Recall, Looper and Elysium footage

Sony will have their own little sci-fi showcase, debuting new footage from Total Recall, Looper and Elysium. They're also bringing some cast members along for what should be one heck of a fun panel.

Talk some Buffy with Joss Whedon

He may be beloved by geeks the world over for The Avengers, but Joss Whedon was a cult icon long before that, thanks to his cult fave TV and comic series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Learn more about Syfy's Defiance

The new TV/series videogame project at Syfy will also be on hand, with cast members Grant Bowler, Julie Benz, Tony Curran and Jamie Murray on hand to tell you all about the new series.

Check out the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards

Called the Oscars of the comic book industry, the 24th annual Eisner Awards will hand out some prestigious wares to some of the best in the biz.
