17 Again ties for second place in weekend box office

Zac Efron's 17 Again tied for second place at the April 24 weekend box office with Fighting, with Sunday estimates of $11.7 million each, the Associated Press reported.

After debuting in first place a week earlier, 17 Again raised its 10-day total to about $40 million.

Monsters vs. Aliens, meanwhile, slipped to sixth place from fifth, taking in about $8.5 million and raising its total so far to about $174.8 million.
