It might be too wacky for TV or the big screen, but comics have proven the perfect medium for crossovers that probably wouldn’t work anywhere else. The latest DC and Nickelodeon team-up aims to tell a story we never knew we really, really wanted.

Dubbed Batman TMNT Adventures, the comic crossover will feature the Dark Knight from Batman: The Animated Series and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the modern animated series (or its comic run, seemingly, to be more specific). It’s always great to see the Animated Series-era version of Bats in action, and tossing these personalities into the same panel should certainly make for a fun six-issue romp.

Nerdist reports the story will follow Batman as he chases some classic Gotham villains across canon into the NYC of the Ninja Turtles. Once there, the Dark Knight will team up with the Turtles to take on the escaped Arkham inmates, along with some classic TMNT villains who will apparently be making an appearance (Batman vs. Bebop and Rocksteady? Yes, please). We should also expect to see a few alums from both sides of the canon, such as Robin, April O’Nwil, Alfred and Casey Jones.

The first issue of Batman TMNT Adventures is set to hit shelves Nov. 9.
