NBC has finally unleashed our very first look at Zoe Saldana in the titular role for its upcoming TV mini-series adaptation of Rosemary’s Baby.
The upcoming four-part mini-series stars Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek, the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy) in the role made famous by Mia Farrow in Roman Polanski’s classic 1968 horror flick.
Patrick J Adams (Suits) stars alongside Saldana as Rosemary’s husband, Guy Woodhouse, while Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) will play the dastardly coven leader Roman Castevet.
Have a look at the poster (and at Saldana sporting short hair):
Directed by Oscar-nominated director Agnieszka Holland, and currently shooting in Paris, Rosemary’s Baby is set to air soon on NBC.
Jennifer Salke, president of NBC Entertainment, said:
"As we move into the event movie and miniseries space, Rosemary's Baby represents the kind of attention-getting, surprising project that will make noise for us.
"The story has been updated and moved to Paris, but it's faithful to the spirit of Ira Levin's classic novel. This is a compelling tale wonderfully told."
Are you guys looking forward to this new, updated version of Rosemary’s Baby? And how do you like Zoe Saldana's look and short hairdo?
