What happened to Carrie? That's what you'll wonder after watching the first trailer for the upcoming film. Shortly after debuting footage at New York Comic Con, MGM and Screen Gems are giving the rest of us a peek at their Carrie remake.

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, Carrie centers on a teenage girl (Chloe Grace Moretz) who quickly goes from meek to murderer. After being subjected to bullying from both her peers and her mother (Julianne Moore), she has a psychotic break. Once that happens, all hell breaks loose.

The teaser trailer shows much of the aftermath following Carrie's rampage. Her quiet small town is up in flames as she stands in the street soaked in pig's blood. It's one of the most iconic scenes featured in the original 1976 film.

Check out the first trailer below:

Carrie opens in theaters March 15, 2013.
