Hot on the heels of those awesome Mockingbird Lane official pics, NBC has released the first footage from that Munsters reboot and it looks ... well, actually pretty darn fantastic.
Sadly, Bryan Fuller's (creator of the truly wonderful and still sadly missed Pushing Daisies) newest TV adventure hasn't turned out quite the way it was meant to. From a full series, Mockingbird Lane has now simply become a Halloween special.
Starring Jerry O'Connell as a more normal-looking Herman Munster (though he has some pretty gruesome visible scars), Portia de Rossi as a seductive Lily Munster, and Eddie Izzard as a 'hey-I-look-like-a-rock-star' Grandpa Munster, the show also stars Mason Cook as Eddie Munster and Charity Wakefield as Marylin the freak, the only normal member of the family.
The special effects look really cool (after all, NBC has reportedly already sunk $10 million for the pilot episode, and it looks every single penny spent). And we're a bit bummed out that this will only be a special and not a full series. Oh, well. Bryan Fuller himself has already moved on to his new Hannibal series, still for NBC.
Have a look at the brand-new trailer below (we've got to admit, we got a bit of that Pushing Daisies vibe while looking at the video):
How do you like this trailer? Are you looking forward to seeing the special?
Mockingbird Lane will air a few days before Halloween on October 26, 2013.
