Gandalf and Saruman aren't the only wizards walking Middle-earth. A third staff-wielding magician, Radagast the Brown, will make his big-screen debut in Peter Jackson's Hobbit trilogy, and he'll be played by the legendary Doctor Who star Sylvester McCoy.
The glimpse of McCoy in his Radagast garb comes from a Hobbit 16-month wall calendar. It's not due to be released until October, but glimpses of it are already available online, including looks at most of the major characters.
Here's a big promo spread promoting the whole calendar, including Elrond in armor and Thorin holding the key to the Lonely Mountain (click to enlarge).
And here's Radagast himself, looking nice and rumpled, as wizards do.
We don't know yet when Radagast will actually make his appearance in the flicks, but McCoy definitely seems to look the part. What do you think?
