We don't know about you, but we're getting antsy for the return of Doctor Who in the series' sixth season. And with the premiere less than a month away, the BBC has released a new promo pic that's certainly out of this world.

Featuring the Doctor (the always-excellent Matt Smith), his companions Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill), the promo pic shows the mysterious astronaut that will be featured in Doctor Who's premiere episode, titled ... "The Impossible Astronaut."

Written by Steven Moffat, the two-parter will take place in 1960s America and will feature then-president of the United States Richard Nixon. It's the first Doctor Who episode in the history of Who to have actually been filmed in the U.S. (and we're not talking pickup shots).

We really like the look of that promo pic. Very spacey and a bit weird—like the Doctor. What do you think?

Doctor Who will premiere on April 23 in both the U.S. and the U.K.
