3 new Snowpiercer clips show the smart stuff we won't see in the U.S.

As the Weinstein Company prepares to chop 20 minutes out of Bong Joon-ho’s sci-fi epic Snowpiercer in an effort to make it appeal more to U.S. audiences, some new footage and interviews have leaked showing off some of the highbrow plot lines we might not get to see in the States.

Sure, we still have to wait a while to see the flick in the U.S., but it’s already burning up the box office in Joon-ho’s native South Korea. Despite the fact that audiences there seem to think it’s a stellar sci-fi flick, the studio believes a trimmed-down “action cut” will do better in other territories, which basically means they think general audiences aren’t smart enough to keep up with the class-warfare undertones and slower scenes that apparently make the movie so great to begin with.

So, while we wait to see what happens during the film’s journey to the rest of the world, take a little solace in these South Korean featurettes and special features with star Chris Evans and the gang.
