Inspired by the swinging-'60s vibe of Matthew Vaughn's X-prequel, British magazine Total Film has concocted a series of covers that pay homage to the vintage hotness of yesteryear.

Taking their cue from magazines like Life, Esquire and Vogue, the art directors at Total Film have delivered a suite of covers—with pitch-perfect renderings of James McAvoy, January Jones and Michael Fassbender—that put some of the actual studio-driven marketing materials to shame.

Besides, everyone loves retro ... especially when it's as sultry as this.
