If you've been feeling down so far today, here's a story that should cheer you up—a 5-year-old boy unable to afford his cancer treatments just raised the bucks needed to save his life ... by selling 3,000 too-cute-for words drawings of monsters.

After being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia last September, things looked grim for Aidan Reed. Because even though there's a 90% recovery rate for his type of cancer, his parents couldn't afford the hospital bills, and even went so far as to put their house up for sale.

But Aidan, who loves drawing pictures of the Wolfman, Nosteratu and other monsters, has managed to raise more than $30,000 through the sale of his artwork, and has been able to get the medical attention he needs.

So what's up for Reed now that it looks like he'll have a hopefully long future ahead of him. We're not sure, but since he said in an interview that, "'If I was a comic character, I would be like the Green Goblin flying around throwing pumpkin bombs," we have to admit we're a little worried!

Please grow up to be one of the good guys, Aidan!
