This 8-bit treatment of The Avengers is the NES game we never knew we wanted

All things are made better with 2D side-scrolling platform games.

We know sometime in the next few days we'll be hearing news about Age of Ultron, but that's endless hours away. That's an eternity. You need an Avengers thing to fill that time or you will die maybe.

Well, don't worry. We may not be patriotic super soldiers, billionaire philanthropists in flying metal armor, gods of thunder, scientists transformed into giant green monsters by gamma radiation, Russian spies or even dudes with nifty arrow skills, but we can still save you -- with videos! And not just any video, but one where The Avengers are reimagined as a glorious NES game, like Mega Man but somehow, despite the odds, even better.

Oh, how we wish this were a real game. Or that every superhero franchise would do the right thing and be adapted into an 8-bit, multiplayer, arcade-style beat-em-up. That would bring peace in our times. Alas, this video will have to suffice.
