We're all still in a state of shocked limbo after the jolting first trailer for Stephen King's IT and to recall the unsettling nature of the premiere promo, artist Christopher Shy has conjured up an atmospheric new watercolor poster inspired by Andy Muschietti's upcoming supernatural flick.

Shy is well known in geek circles for producing beautiful watercolor renditions of our favorite horror and sci-fi films, like Alien, Halloween, Mad Max: Fury Road, Beetlejuice and The Fog. Now he's turned his attention to Pennywise The Dancing Clown and created a macabre masterpiece as Pennywise peers out from the stinking sewer pipes below the town of Derry, with a crimson creek of blood forming the film's title below.

This gorgeous piece is available for purchase in either the standard edition, a neon variant or Penniless version with the corrupt clown vanishing back into his reeking abode. Once you're done staring, check out the print order site at Art of Ronin and let us know which poster you picked. Stephen King's IT haunts theaters on September 8.
