Chewbacca isn’t just the co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon and best friend of the late Han Solo. He’s also the Wookiee who’s lending a furry hand to the Fort Worth, Texas, police department.

The Fort Worth police have created a video to welcome recruits to the force and to remind them to treat citizens with courtesy and respect. Chewbacca stars as the new Wookiee.

That's right. Wookiee, not rookie.

In this video, Chewbacca works alongside the police as best he can. It's an adorable video. Still, as we see, he needs to brush up on his sensitivity training.

We've reached out to the Fort Worth police department, but the Force was not with us for a response. Yet.

We’ll be seeing more of Chewbacca in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which opens Dec. 15. And Porgs. We’ll be seeing Porgs, too (and so will Chewie). Sadly, Chewbacca is no longer played by the beloved Peter Mayhew. The Wookiee suit is now being worn by the Finnish actor Joonas Suotamo. No word yet on who donned Fort Worth PD's Chewie costume, but Star Wars stand-in sure knows how to handle a hairy situation.
