A Quiet Place unleashes a silent terror on John Krasinski and Emily Blunt in Super Bowl ad

There are silent movie fans and there are people that are going to be fans of A Quiet Place. And the latter is no black-and-white piece of Buster Keaton slapstick.

A movie whose emphasis on silence is as pressing and intriguing as famed Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "Hush," the the supernatural horror values quiet because it's the only safety from the sound-seeking horrors haunting John Krasinski and Emily Blunt's farm-dwelling family.

I'm not sure what's haunting the parents and their children, but the production and story take it so seriously that it's hard to avoid being caught up in the atmosphere. Even the film's crew took a vow of silence during production.

The new Super Bowl trailer just dropped and it promises a lot of silent terror stalking its adorable, toy-loving kids and tough, gun-toting adults.

The Krasinski-directed film promised plenty of silent terrors and interesting uses of sign language in its first teaser, but now that we've actually seen the claw marks of the woods' monster, we can't wait.

A Quiet Place will be released on April 6, 2018.
