The Blumhouse horror factory is gearing up for a new scare-fest this fall, but this one has an interesting sci-fi angle. Here's a first look at Incarnate.
The film stars Aaron Eckhart as an exorcist who uses cutting-edge tech to enter the mind of the possessed to cast out demons. But he meets his match in a young boy played by Gotham‘s David Mazouz (Editor’s Note: Love the Batman connection here!), who is possessed by an ultra-powerful demon. Incarnate is produced by Jason Blum and directed by Brad Peyton (San Andreas), from a script by Ronnie Christensen (Passengers).
Here’s the official synopsis:
A scientist with the ability to enter the subconscious minds of the possessed must save a young boy from the grips of a demon with powers never seen before, while facing the horrors of his past.
Incarnate opens Sept. 30.
