It's been a big year for Marvel Studios on the small screen. Its first live-action TV series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., enjoyed a more creatively ambitious, if still divisive, second season. Plus, Daredevil was a hit on Netflix, and the period adventure Agent Carter developed a very devoted fanbase in its first season.

For its part, Daredevil's already been renewed, and will continue on Netflix along with Marvel's other new streaming shows. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been awaiting news of a third season for a while, but its ratings meant that things looked good on that front. Agent Carter has been the real question mark, and reports have put its chances of renewal at "roughly 60 percent," which is good, but certainly not a guarantee. Now the suspense is finally over, and Peggy Carter's fans can rest easy knowing that she'll be back on ABC.

Last night, in a mass renewal announcement that also included shows like Galavant and Once Upon a Time, the network announced that Agent Carter will indeed return for a second season on the network, while Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be back for season three. So, for the 2014-2015 TV season, Marvel is 3-0 when it comes to renewals for its live-action shows.

We don't yet know when we'll see Agent Carter again, whether it'll return in the fall or in early 2016, or how many episodes we'll get this time, but we at least known it's heading back for another try, which is great news for fans who finally got the awesome female star they've been looking for in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the series.
