Acclaimed artist Alex Ross reveals first look at his Universal Monsters art series

Halloween may be over, but this pulse-pounding portraits of Universal Monsters from stellar comic book artist Alex Ross (Kingdom Come, Marvels) will live on into eternity.  Ross has been lighting up the comic book heavens for over 20 years, revolutionizing the way superheroes are portrayed with his dynamic compositions and photo-realistic style on titles spanning the full spectrum of the industry.  His bold galaxy of art has graced the covers of Dynamite's Batman '66 Meets The Green Hornet, Kurt Busiek's Astro City, Marvel's Star Wars, Guardians 3000, Secret Wars, All-New, All-Different AvengersThe Amazing Spider-Man and numerous special projects and posters.

The Illinois artist has now turned his rapt attention to the iconic creatures of the Universal Studios horror stables in a new Classic Universal Monsters Set, which will be officially unveiled at next year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The atmospheric eight-print collection includes solo portraits of Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Werewolf, The Invisible Man,  Creature From the Black Lagoon, Bride of Frankenstein and a group monster mash poster with the entire gang.  Each of these startling artworks will be available in both in black and white and color tinted editions.
