When you really think about it, there's a certain effortless musical quality to the Star Wars Saga created by George Lucas, with some harsh, discordant notes blended into the more lyrical interludes and crescendos of the better film chapters.  Then you also have the masterful Academy Award-winning scores by the legendary John Williams penetrating us and binding the cinematic galaxy together with authoritative force.  So it's not too much of a stretch to take a sampling of iconic Star Wars characters and have them populate the covers of classic albums by Prince, AC/DC, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Eminem, Queen, Kraftwerk, Nirvana, Guns 'N Roses, Sonic Youth, Lana Del Rey, The Beatles, Pink Floyd and many more.  Each of these Star Wars mashup covers were conceived by freelance digital artist Steven Lear and perfectly capture the union of the Star Wars universe, pop culture and the recording industry.  Give them a spin and tell us which ones top the charts for you!
