Adam Savage is getting back into the myth-busting business, only this time he’ll be assisted by a gaggle of young of geniuses (do geniuses travel in flocks? Troupes? Hordes?) on Discovery's upcoming series, Mythbusters Jr.
Alongside Jamie Hyneman, Savage spent 14 years as the beloved host of the Discovery Channel’s fact-finding, multi-Emmy nominated Mythbusters, before that series ended in 2016 and they rebooted with another host (gasp!). But now, all has been set right in the world of truth and science, as today Discovery announced that they'll spin off the series with the original host guiding and mentoring a group of six of the most STEAM-savy pre-teens in the United States.
Steam is of course teacher speak for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. And it sounds like Savage and his young protoges will have to use plenty of all that high-level stuff throughout the course of a 10-episode season, in order to solve some of the world’s great questions.
“I’m so excited to be returning to Discovery to work with these kids on a new incarnation of the show I love so much,” said Savage in a statement. “To be able to confront them with great questions and the resources to answer them is such a dream. Helping to inspire future scientists and engineers is a mission I share with Discovery.”
Adam Savage and his gaggle of young geniuses are slated to hit the Discovery Channel airwaves in Q4 of 2018. What myths do you hope to see busted?
