Adam Warlock, aka Him, is making a triumphant return to comics when Marvel's infinite superbeing arrives in the pages of Marvel Legacy's Guardians of the Galaxy comic in January 2018 with a story featuring those insanely powerful cosmic ingots, the Infinity Stones.

We do know that the venue will be Guardians of the Galaxy #150 ("The Return of Adam Warlock"). The creative team for this two-parter that continues The Infinity Stone saga consists of writer Gerry Duggan, paired with art by Aaron Kuder and Marcus To.

Superstar illustrator Alex Ross has provided the electrifying first cover below.

Adam Warlock, a frequent carrier of the Soul Gem and occasional member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1967 and made his first cocooned appearance in Fantastic Four #66.

But it wasn't until Roy Thomas and Gil Kane revived the messianic man-god in 1972's Marvel Premiere #1 that the character truly took flight. The great Jim Starlin further developed Warlock in various far-out series in the mid-'70s inside the pages of Strange Tales and Warlock, then later in the 1991 miniseries,The Infinity Gauntlet, and 2016's The Infinity Revelation.

The energy-manipulating Warlock was last seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 in a mysterious mid-credit sequence with Ayesha looking at a gleaming birthing pod and declaring the arrival of the next step in the Sovereign's evolution and wanting to call him Adam.

Are you eager to see this dangerous artificial being back in the Marvel Universe next year?
