"Imagine it. A world without humans...under endless night."

Adi Shankar, producer of Netflix's surprise hit anime show Castlevania, has offered us a new trailer for the show's second season. In it, Dracula has determined that the humans do not deserve the earth. Because of this, he tells his generals that the time has come to scour them (er, us) off the land.

So, our heroes realize that Dracula has to be destroyed...before he can destroy the world. We're then treated to a series of shots from the upcoming second season that are simultaneously moody, blood-soacked and action-packed.

In short, it looks intense and awesome. Check it out tfor yourself.

Written by comic book icon Warren Ellis and executive produced by Ellis, Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Shankar, Castlevania is a medieval fantasy inspired by the popular video game series about the last surviving member of the Belmont clan trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepe. The voice cast includes Richard Armitage, Graham McTavish, James Callis, Emily Swallow, Matt Frewer, Tony Amendola and Alejandra Reynoso.

Castlevania's second season hits Netflix on Oct. 26.
